At first, the fencer was aiming my head,
Hitting my soul with wit and vivacity,

At first, I was amused by the skills,

Rambling and fencing in Auvergne

In August, I am thinking of spending of few days in my home town, in Auvergne, enjoying the ever lasting youth of volcanoes, drinking Volvic water..and maybe a bit of Aveze or Pastis ..

Auvergne is mostly famous for his amazing natural parks, with numerous lakes and volcanoes. There you can walk, cycle, swim, canoe, or even fly (paragliding).
It is also there that Vercingetorix , chieftain of the Arverni, led the Gauls in the war against the Roman imperialism leaded by Julius Caesar. The Gauls were victorious at the battle of Gergovia but eventually surrendered at the battle of Alesia. Vercingétorix was taken to Rome to glorify the triumph of his conqueror and later executed in prison.

Therefore, if you fancy the idea of free fencing and/or rambling in this region full of history, just let me know. I will try to organize something between 18th and the 24th of August. I will be there a bit earlier and a bit after but I will be less available (busy with my family).

I must confess, I have done these drawings quite quickly. My first intention was just to use them as avatars (64pix x 64 pix) for the weblog, and thus there was not point to do something too detailed.

And if I haven't been so busy sipping sake last night, I would have probably made a few more drawings. But I am afraid that once again, my will has been easily corrupted by an alcohol tasting project in good company..
Actually, I try often that with my sabre but he usually retreats and uses this opportunity to set up a trap ..
